But you are missing out on the balancing effects of the market. With a lot of people saving money, the supply of loanable funds increases, so interest rates (the price of loanable funds) decreases. This makes saving less attractive, and borrowing more attractive, a naturally occurring stimulus of “loose money” policy. So companies take out loans to finance capital expenditures. This pumps money back into the system, stimulating production and demand and employment, thus stimulating spending. As more people spend and lots of businesses want to get in on the cheap credit to finance projects, there is a shortage of loanable funds, driving interest rates up, making people save more and businesses borrow less, a natural slowdown of an economic boom that is getting out of control. When interest rates are subject to market forces, the economy is moderated and prevented from wild swings. The Fed intervenes and tries to enact these exact measures which occur naturally in the market (lowering interest rates in a slump, raising them in a boom), except the government is not nearly as good at it, as they are equally bad at setting the prices of other products. Interest rates are a price just like any other, it’s the price of money. And like any other, the market picks the correct price better than the government

The Playhouse's history began in 1917 when actor/director Gilmor Brown began producing a season of plays at an old burlesque house he called the Savoy. The community theatre organization quickly grew to prominence and in 1925, the citizens of Pasadena raised funds to build an extraordinary theatre in the heart of the city. It was known originally and for the first few decades of its existence as the Pasadena Community Playhouse. Its community theatre (ie: non-professional) beginnings and the tremendous amount of local support led George Bernard Shaw to dub Pasadena “the Athens of the West.”

Designed by Elmer Grey (whose notable credits include most of the California Institute of Technology campus and Polytechnic School) and built by the Winter Construction Co. (also noted for Sid Grauman’s Egyptian Theatre and Grauman's Chinese Theatre in Hollywood), the theatre drew the attention of the nation; bringing Southern California world premieres by authors such as Eugene O’Neill, William Saroyan, Noel Coward, F. Scott Fitzgerald and Tennessee Williams. The Playhouse was declared the State Theatre of California in 1937 after the remarkable achievement of having performed the entire Shakespeare canon for the first time in this country.

A school of theatre arts was established in the late 1920s that became an accredited college by 1937 (known informally in Hollywood as the “Star Factory”), eventually training up-and-coming actors. Legend has it that film star and Pasadena native William Holden studied at the Playhouse and was discovered for the movies there. In truth, Holden never studied at the theatre nor appeared on its official stages; rather, he was discovered while appearing in the private Playbox theatre owned by Playhouse director Gilmor Brown.) During the school years, the Playhouse was constantly abuzz with activity having as many as five independent stages in operation at any given time, making the Pasadena Playhouse the single most prolific theatrical producing organization in the world.

Actually, it's about Camarillo State Mental Hospital, about an hour north of LA, where one of the Eagles' members apparently spent some time. That's a picture of it on the cover of the original album.

It may be because the product is made in China. CA has extremely strict laws with products sold in their state.

Maybe the rubber ducky was a product that was tested in CA, and it was determined to contain harmful or hazardous materials or ingredients (An example can be something like the dye that's used, its a health hazard). It didn't pass inspection.

Oriental Trading will not disclose this, they're in the business of selling (whether its a health hazard or not).

    This may be a reason.

If you took a while to get a new job they want to know why you did that?

For example, if you left your job in September and did not have another job until November they want to know what you did all that time in between. Did you look for a job in Sept? Did you take time off? Why did you take so long a time off or to find a job?

Because of the point I just made. “The debate is pitting the school district, which is planning to spend $150 million in voter-approved bond money to modernize Beverly High, against some *prominent developers and many Los Angeles homeowners who favor a station in central Century City*.” As in I don’t agree, but that’s why they are doing it.
